The Bioweapon that Hit East Palestine, OH

The president and his administration failed to protect the people of East Palestine!

So East Palestine (EP) is in Colombiana County in Ohio which was hit hard by a Chinese bioweapon which President Trump not only failed to prevent from being unleashed but also failed to protect the people of East Palestine once it was unleashed. So EP has a significantly higher Covid death rate than the national average. And the sad thing is that the county managed to make it through the first 17 months of the pandemic without being hit with a wave most likely because they are significantly off any interstates and they don’t have a tourism industry.

So when the vaccines became available the people of EP simply had to get vaccinated and then they would have essentially defeated the Chinese by not being victims of the deadly Chinese bioweapon. The problem is the people of EP didn’t get vaccinated in high enough rates and so they didn’t have the protection against the bioweapon. The fact the people of EP didn’t have a high enough vaccine rate is for one reason—Trump didn’t travel to these towns and advocate for the vaccines his administration developed! Trump has the blood of every one of those people that died from the Chinese bioweapon unleashed while he was president!

So in the county that includes EP 512 people died from the Chinese bioweapon with most dying from October 2021 through March 2022 well after the vaccines and boosters were easily accessible. So during those 6 months on average 2 people died a day from the bioweapon in a county of 100,000 people. So that’s over 300 people who died needlessly from a bioweapon in which we had an effective and safe vaccine.

So why did the people of EP fail to protect themselves from a Chinese bioweapon?? I believe for a myriad of reasons they lost faith in big business and the federal government that both played a role in developing the vaccines. So why did they lose faith in big business? Let’s look to the biggest city in the county which is Youngstown, OH. Youngstown played an outsized role in American history as a steel city based around a massive steel mill. In the 1970s a company named Nucor developed mini mill technology based around an electric arc furnace (EAF) that allows steel to be made with 100% scrap metal feedstock…that means it’s much more efficient and cheaper to produce the finished product. In 1977 what is referred to as Black Monday 5000 workers lost their jobs at the huge steel mill in Youngstown in a single day! The domino effect led to tens of thousands of other job losses for the community. So Youngstown had a big business and they put their faith in that big business and then one day that big business destroyed their community and left them behind.

Now let’s turn to Uncle Sam! The Deer Hunter took place in a community very similar to Youngstown and the sons of western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio are the Americans that were first drafted and then enlisted in the military for the last several decades. So their best and brightest first fought in Vietnam and then more recently in Iraq and Afghanistan. So while their community was losing jobs their sons were being shipped to foreign lands to fight for who knows what?? Uncle Sam would promise them jobs when they returned but the jobs never materialized.

So these people were screwed by big business AND Uncle Sam and then when Trump failed to stop the Chinese bioweapon these people didn’t trust the entities that developed the vaccines. So 300 people died needlessly over a several months period because of trust lost over decades.
